IT Home on February 18, according to foreign media reports, recently NASA officially announced a new lunar landing plan, NASA will turn its eyes from Mars to the moon again. NASA had previously considered a new moon exploration plan, but was criticized at the time as "just a magnified version of the Apollo project". Compared with previous versions, NASA will introduce more private companies to participate in the research and development of manned lunar landings, and will send four astronauts to the moon in 2028.

NASA will be divided into three stages. In the first stage, NASA will establish a "portal" space station in lunar orbit in 2024, which will serve as a transit station for lunar landing, thus effectively reducing the difficulty of direct launching from the Earth.

Phase II, NASA will complete the construction of the space station in 2026, and conduct a simulated landing and return flight test .

Phase III, NASA will achieve manned lunar landing in 2028, during which NASA will launch several probes to the moon.

Although NASA has put forward preliminary ideas, NASA requires commercial launch companies to put forward the design concepts of landing module, space refueling system and transporting spacecraft for the lunar landing system by March 25. In May, NASA will select what they consider to be excellent commercial launch companies and give each company $9 million and six months to complete preliminary research and development. Finally, NASA will select at least two companies to undertake the mission, which is expected to receive hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts.

NASA Director said that in the future, we will not only leave footprints on the moon, but also build a sustainable and reusable lunar system on the moon. The implementation of these projects laid the foundation for human beings to go to Mars.
